Ambient by Design

Most news apps want to be the center of your attention. Glimpse RSS is designed for the edge of it.

There are no cards to scroll, no read counts to manage, no push notifications, no trending badges, and no AI deciding which stories you should care about. Headlines rotate automatically every ten seconds. A slim control bar lets you pause, step back, or skip forward when you need to. Otherwise, Glimpse RSS runs quietly in the background of your day.

If you have ever wanted a news presence in your Vision Pro workspace without the weight of a full news application, this is it.

150+ Feeds. 10 Categories.
Ready Immediately.

Glimpse RSS ships with over 150 curated RSS feeds organized into 10 topic categories. You do not need to search for sources or build a feed library from scratch. Open the preferences pane, toggle the categories and outlets that matter to you, and the ticker starts running.

Top News draws from sources like the New York Times, BBC, NPR, The Guardian, and Sky News. World coverage includes Reuters, France 24, Deutsche Welle, Der Spiegel, Al Jazeera, and Le Monde. Business and Finance covers the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Financial Times, CNBC, and Forbes. Technology pulls from The Verge, Ars Technica, Wired, TechCrunch, MacRumors, and Hacker News. Science and Health includes Scientific American, Nature, NASA, and Popular Science alongside reporting from the BBC, NPR, and NYT health desks.

You can also add any RSS feed URL of your own. A dedicated My Custom Feeds section keeps your personal additions organized and separate from the curated library.

No Account. No Paywall.
No Friction.

There is nothing to sign up for. Glimpse RSS does not require an account, an email address, or a subscription to access its full feature set. Every feed, every category, every preference is available to every user from the moment the app is installed.

Your reading activity stays on your device. Glimpse RSS does not track what you read, does not build a profile, and does not connect to any cloud service.

Built for Vision Pro,
Not Ported to It

Glimpse RSS was designed for visionOS from the ground up. It is not an iPhone app running in compatibility mode.

The window is sized and proportioned deliberately, close to the shape of a broadcast news chyron, narrow enough to feel like a ticker rather than an application. Text is rendered using visionOS vibrancy so headlines remain legible against any background. Controls follow Apple's spatial Human Interface Guidelines, with playback buttons in a bottom ornament bar that stay accessible without cluttering the window.

Reduce Motion is respected throughout. If you have it enabled in visionOS accessibility settings, Glimpse RSS skips fade transitions and switches headlines without animation.
